Emergency Paediatric First Aid is a vital training program designed for anyone responsible for the care and supervision of infants and young children. These courses provide essential skills and knowledge to manage emergency situations, prevent accidents, and administer first aid effectively.
I amongst a group of childminders and nannies received training last week and it was really good! I found it to be very interactive, there were explanations which accompanied scenarios.
Questions and answers to clarify, confirm and embed your learning. There were slides, regular breaks, I could not fault the pace, the delivery nor the vibe.

Who is this course suitable for?
Our Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is essential for individuals responsible for the care of infants and young children, such as parents, nannies, teachers, guardians, childcare providers or foster carers.
This course meets the requirements for those who want to be on the Voluntary Register with OFSTED. It can also be suitable for those who want to learn a basic level of Paediatric First Aid.
Assessment
Our qualified trainers will be doing an ongoing assessment where they can help refine the learner’s skills, with the aim of encouraging all learners to carry out first aid with confidence.

- CPR on a child & baby (including AED awareness)
- Choking child & baby

- Wounds & bleeds

Course location
This course can be delivered directly at your workplace, saving your staff valuable time and reducing costs by eliminating the need for off-site training.
Course duration
This course will last approximately 6 hours total.
You will first need to complete an online course in the comfort of your home before the course date, which will make up 2 hours of your course.
The additional 4 hours will be completed in the venue of your choice with our qualified trainer.
Certification
Once the learner has passed, they will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years issued by SK First Aid Training and Development. The learner will also receive a paediatric first aid handbook that they can refer to in their own free time, at no extra cost.
If you would like an Ofqual certification, this is available at an additional cost.

Cancellation and refund policy
We value our customers, and we understand that life does happen; if there are any problems regarding your bookings, please refer to our flexible cancellation/ refund policy below.
- If you cancel more than 7 days prior to the booking date, a 50% cancellation fee will be applied.
- If you cancel within 7 days prior to the course, a 70% cancellation fee will be applied.
Payments
We accept BACS (Bank transfer) and online payments. If you choose to pay online, you will receive an email to confirm your payment and a member of our team will contact you shortly after to finalize a course date. Should you choose BACS, please contact us.
Please note that all bookings must be paid in full before the course date, and bookings will be confirmed by email. SK Training and Development Ltd will not accept cash payments under any circumstances.
With Corporate payments, invoices must be paid in full 7 days prior to the course date or within 14 days after the invoice issue date, whichever is first. SK Training and Development reserves the right to not provide any course until payment is made.
CERTIFICATION WILL BE HELD UNTIL PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE IN FULL
